Silencing the Truth: One Week to Decide

Yesterday, I was in court for a contempt hearing—because I posted the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) report from my case on my website.
The court didn’t argue that the report is protected by any statute. It isn’t sealed. It contains no private medical or psychological records. Its only claim to confidentiality is the GAL’s own assertion that it should be. And yet, the judge ruled that the previous order—based solely on that claim—requires me to take it down.
I’ve been given one week to comply or face contempt of court.
Let that sink in.
A government-appointed official, whose actions have significantly affected my children’s lives, is shielded from public scrutiny not by law, but by preference. And when I, a parent trying to hold that official accountable, speak out using their own words—I’m the one facing jail time.
During the hearing, the judge warned me to be careful about what I post online, noting that my children may someday read it. That’s exactly why I write everything I do with care, truth, and purpose.
I have two older children who can read my posts now. My two youngest will someday read them, too. And when they do, they will see that their father fought for them—not with insults or reckless words—but with facts, love, and conviction. There is nothing I’ve written that I’m ashamed of. I want them to know I stood up when it mattered. I want them to know silence was never an option.
I truly believe I’m doing exactly what a healthy, responsible parent should be doing.
And for that, I'm being criticized.
So now I have a week.
A week to decide whether to comply with an order I believe is unconstitutional… or to take a stand.
That decision weighs heavily on me—not just because of what it means for me, but because of what it means for every parent who has been silenced, ignored, or punished for trying to protect their children.
I started this fight because this system needs to be exposed and reformed—not hidden behind vague labels of “confidentiality” that protect power, not people.
Not to mention - I paid $6,300 for my defense in this hearing.
My attorney—an experienced and highly regarded professional—actually advised me to represent myself and save the money. Not because she didn’t believe in my case, but because she believed the outcome was already decided. Not based on law, but on bias.
But I made the decision to go forward with her representation. Why? Because I needed to prove something critical: this isn’t about me.
If I walked into that courtroom alone and lost, it would’ve been easy to say, “Of course he lost—he’s not a lawyer. He didn’t know what he was doing.” But that’s not what happened.
I spent $6,300 to show that even with a seasoned attorney—someone who fought hard to defend my First Amendment rights—we still lost. Not because of anything I did. Not because of anything she failed to do. We lost because the system is designed to protect itself.
When you come face to face with that kind of defeat—when truth, law, and even expert advocacy don’t matter—you see the machine for what it really is.
And you realize: this fight isn’t about winning inside the system. It’s about exposing it.
Whatever happens next, I promise you this: I will not stop speaking the truth. I will not stop fighting for my children. And I will not stop working to fix what’s broken.
Because until we stop rewarding falsehoods, we’ll never start healing real families.
Today marks 316 days since my children were taken from me.
During this same hearing, we were given our next court date: a review hearing on July 10th.
That’s more than a year since they were taken on July 2nd, 2024.
And still—we haven’t even started the custody trial.
The system keeps dragging its feet while my kids grow up without their father.
A father they're being told was abusive to them.
A father that is being erased from them.
Justice delayed is trauma delivered.
This isn’t protection. It’s punishment.

Believe it or not, your influence on your state representative and state senator can open the door to change. A quick email or call from you can make a big impact.

I’ve already heard from parents who’ve lost everything. Some haven’t seen their children in years.
This is real. This is dangerous. And this is why we fight.
