Copy & Paste Message to Your Minnesota State Legislator to Urge Family Court Reform

(Direct the meeting to Ryan Alvar — you do NOT need to attend)

Important:

This message is for your Minnesota State Senator and Minnesota State Representative - not U.S. Congress.
Please include your name and address so your legislator knows you are a constituent.

(Optional: CC ryanalvar@ryanalvar.com so engagement can be tracked.)

📬 Not sure who represents you?

Find your Minnesota legislators here:

Example (how this works)

After entering your address, you will see your Minnesota House Representative and Minnesota State Senator.

Example (Image below containing my address):

  • MN House Representative: Esther Agbaje — District 59B

  • MN Senator: Bobby Joe Champion — District 59

Next to each legislator’s name is a contact card.
Click the card, and a new page will open with their email address.

Simply copy and paste their email address into a new email and paste the message below.

Important clarification

Right now, this effort is focused on reform within the State of Minnesota.

You are not being asked to contact your U.S. House Representative or U.S. Senator.
If you choose to do so on your own, that is fine — but the reforms needed here are controlled by Minnesota law, and your state legislators are the ones who can act.

Concerns raised by Mr. Alvar’s case are not isolated. They reflect a pattern experienced by many families in Minnesota and across the country who have gone through the family court system. Parents from diverse backgrounds report the same failures repeatedly:

  • Serious mental health concerns being ignored

  • Due process violations

  • Evidence documenting child harm being suppressed or excluded

  • False sworn statements being tolerated without accountability

  • Parents being punished for advocating for their children

These concerns are now widely documented through public records, litigation, advocacy efforts, and growing national attention to family court reform. Mr. Alvar’s case is one of the most extensively documented examples and is currently being used to seek precedent so these failures cannot continue harming children.

Mr. Alvar is present at the Minnesota State Capitol and is available to meet with you or your staff to review evidence, documentation, and discuss reform proposals.

As your constituent, I am asking you to:

  1. Direct your office to meet with Ryan Alvar; and

  2. Engage with legislative reforms that require courts to take mental health seriously, protect children, enforce due process, ensure equal protection, and establish meaningful accountability within the family court system.

This is not a political issue. It is a constitutional issue and a child-protection issue. The harm caused by inaction is permanent.

Please let me know whether your office will meet with Mr. Alvar or designate staff to do so.

Sincerely,
